My house is brand new. How will you prepare the floor before coating it?

New or old, we start by grinding any areas of concrete or stucco spillage and treat and degrease oil and grease stains. We then prepare the concrete for coating by grinding, or shotblasting, it to achieve the perfect surface before applying our products.

I have some small cracks in my floor. What will be done with these?

All open cracks and larger surface imperfections will be repaired. Extensive crack and/or patch repairs may be subject to additional charges. How long does the entire process take and when can I put my car back in the garage?

The PremierSpaces floor coating system can be installed in just one day. You may park in your garage and have full use of it just 24 hours later. Weather conditions may extend the installation and return to service times.

My garage is full of stuff. What do we do with it while the floor is being coated?

You may choose to remove all possessions from the garage yourself or purchase our PremierComplete service package and let us take care of it.

How Long Does It Take To Install A Floor?

Depending on the flooring solution you choose, it can take a typical double car garage one day or two days. We go through an extensive preparation process which includes grinding, shot blasting and concrete repair. You can return to using your garage floor 24 hours after our installation is complete at a 10 degree temperature.

What is the best method to clean my PremierNX floor?

We recommend mixing 5–6 ounces of clear ammonia per gallon of water in a mop bucket. A large headed string/rag mop works best, with a wringer mechanism on your mop bucket. Do not use any soap based product as these leave a film which not only reduce the floors shine, but it can also become extremely slippery when the floor becomes damp or wet. How do you prepare the surface before a PremierFlexcoat application?

The surface needs to be clean and free of residues with all other contaminants removed. Where necessary, we high-pressure water blast the floor to achieve a clean surface with appropriate texture before applying the floor coating.

What’s the difference between PremierRepel and other sealants?

There two types of concrete sealants available on the market: topical and penetrative sealants. PremierRepel is a penetrative sealant that penetrates concrete, while topical sealants build a film on top of it. Topical sealers are typically softer than the stone itself, they will usually scratch, mark and scuff very easily, showing traffic patterns soon after application. This will require frequent buffing, burnishing, or reapplication. Topical sealers can create an unnatural, wavy, plastic look and turn yellow. This is especially true if the stone is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.

Some topical sealers require frequent stripping and reapplication. The chemicals and abrasives used in the stripping process may cause damage to the stone. Typically, certain stripping pads and brushes can scratch softer stones. Some wax strippers can harm agglomerate stones by eating through the polyester resin binders they contain. Is PremierRepel glossy? Does it change the look of the concrete?

PremierRepel penetrates and absorbs down into concrete. You won’t notice the presence of the product after it is absorbed and cured. It is has no shine or gloss, so there will be very little change in its appearance. Occasionally the product may darken some types of paver stones, but that is the only change in appearance to be expected.
